It is now 2024 and nothing has been to address these issues. I am currently pregnant and still awaiting Medicaid coverage. I have no access to prenatal or mental health care. Prior to finding out I was pregnant. I was taking an antidepressant and receiving tax credits for health insurance. When I disclose my pregnancy, my tax credits were canceled. I have no idea if it's safe to take these meds and I'm currently battling with depression and substance abuse. I've literally spent hours trying to access care to no avail. My county didn't even know what presumptive eligibility for prenatal care even is. it may take weeks or months before I even hear from DCF. I literally have no idea what to do and I'm so disappointed in the state of Florida for the situation that I am facing.
